Marketing Job, where are you?

I graduated on May 15, 2011 with a double major in Marketing and Management from Mesa State College in Grand Junction, CO.  I have won seven, first and second place state awards through Phi Beta Lambda and have experienced four years as business manager for the college newspaper (www.thecrite.com).  I strive to become skilled in the marketing industry and hope to do so by obtaining that best marketing gig achievable in accordance with my experience and skills.

I would like you to read my testimonials from the people I have work with and then take a look at my accomplishments. While you’re at it take a sneak peek at my resume or keep on reading.

I must confess that I wasn’t always in love with marketing; I can blame this on my obsession to my saxophone and the eighteen years I spent playing it.  I eventually found that the saxophone as just a hobby and not exactly something that would keep me afloat during an economic downfall.  I still wanted to find something that allowed me to be creative yet use my passion for improvement as well. This is when I bumped into marketing; I can’t tell you how grateful I am making the decision to take Marketing 101. I was lucky enough to have a professor named Rick Taggert who had spent his career as the CEO for Swiss Army.

I am currently living in Denver, CO and this is my not-so-subtle attempt to get the best marketing gig possible. I am assertive, have a high aptitude for learning specified procedures, creative, competitive, success driven, and self motivated.

Why I love marketing:

I love exceeding expectation.
It takes a talent in creativity thinking and new ideas.
Its action oriented.
It uses both the left and right side of the brain.
When done right it’s very powerful.
It’s everywhere.

Personal Life

When I’m not swept up in the whirlwind of searching for that perfect marketing gig, I’m living the life in Denver, CO. I read books, blogs and newsletters incessantly, all of which fuels my fondness for marketing.  I spend time designing mock logo's and posters in Adobe CS5 to fuel my creative intuition.  On the weekends I spend time with the family and friends.
